GORDY OPITZ
President

• Graduate of Westminster College
• Prior careers included high school teacher and coach, college basketball coach and Assistant General Manager for Atlanta Braves AA team
• Joined ComDoc in 1983 as a Marketing Representative
• Became Youngstown Branch Manager in 1984 and Akron/Youngstown General Manager in 1986
• Became Vice President in 1991 and Senior Vice President in 1998
• Named ComDoc’s 4th President in 2008
• Serves on the Board of Directors for the Akron Chamber of Commerce and the Akron Chamber Investor Group
• Serves on the Board of Trustees for Family Services of Western Pennsylvania, was Chairman 2006 - 2008 and was President 2004 - 2006
• Serves on the Board for Buckeye Corrugated, Inc.

 

 

 

FRANK PACETTA
Regional President

• Native of Far Rockaway, NY
• Graduate of the University of Dayton, OH
• Prior to ComDoc, spent 20 years with Xerox and 3 years with Danka
• Author of Don’t Fire Them, Fire Them Up! and Stop Whining and Start Winning
• Internationally known public speaker
• Joined ComDoc in 2004

Regional President

• Born at Fort Sill, OK
• Raised in Syracuse, NY
• Graduate of University of Buffalo, NY
• Joined ComDoc in 1991 as a Sales Representative
• Moved to Cleveland in 1996 as the Branch Manager and became General Manager in 2003

Regional President

• Native of Youngstown, OH
• Graduate of Youngstown State University, OH
• Joined ComDoc in 1984 as a Marketing Representative
• Promoted to SM in 1985, Branch Manager in 1987, General Manager of Youngstown and Erie in 1989 and General Manager of Pittsburgh in 1993
• Named Vice President in 1996
• Community service includes JA of SWPA, Butler County CC, Institute of Advanced Technology, Pittsburgh Youth Professionals, Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium and CCCS of PA

 

 

 

LARRY FRANK
Vice Chairman & COO

• Native of New York
• Graduate of Georgetown University, Washington D.C.
• Lieutenant in U.S. Army
• Prior to ComDoc, spent ten years with Xerox
• Joined ComDoc in 1982
• Named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 1989; President & Chief Operating Officer in 2004
• Member of BTA, AMA, NSMC, the Leadership Akron Alumni Association, and many other community organizations

 

 

 

JOHN HEFT
Vice President - Information Works

• Born in Knoxville, TN
• Received BS and MA in Education from Bowling Green State University
• Worked as Assistant basketball coach at Findlay University, Bowling Green State University and Washington State
• Spent over 20 years with Xerox Corporation holding positions in sales and senior management
• Worked with ADVO, Inc. for 3 years before leaving to work at Gordon Flesch in 2003
• Joined ComDoc in November 2004 to take over Information Works
• In 2005, expanded Information Works service area from Columbus to include Dayton, Cleveland, Akron/Canton and Western PA

 

 

 

JOE PUTT
CFO & VP - Finance & Planning

• Native of Berkeley, CA
• Raised in Akron, OH
• Received both BA and MBA from the University of Akron, OH
• Earned CPA in 1985
• Prior to ComDoc, spent 8 years with Simon Ladder Towers, 5 years with Eagle Plastics and 5 years with MSA
• Joined ComDoc in 1999 as Controller
• Named Director of Finance & Planning in 2001 and Vice President in 2003
• Member of American Institute of CPAs and Ohio Society of CPAs
• Serves on DLL Advisory Board
• Community service includes Project Learn, Big Brothers & Sisters and various youth baseball teams

 

 

 

ANDREA CAPUANO
Director - Human Resources

• Native of Pittsburgh, PA
• Raised in Cuyahoga Falls, OH
• Graduate of Kent State University, OH
• Joined ComDoc in 1993 as a Payroll/Benefits Administrator
• Became Benefits Specialist in 1995, HR Manager in 1999 and Director in 2003
• 1999 Eleanor Griffith Award Winner
• Earned PHR certification in 2001
• Member of SHRM, SCHRA and actively involved with H2H
• Serves as Vice President of the Living Fountain Dance Company

 

 

 

PAUL DIPRONIO
Director - Logistics & Administration

• Born and raised in Boston, MA
• Undergraduate degree from Suffolk University, Boston, MA
• MBA from Bentley College, Waltham, MA
• Spent over 8 years with Sodexho Marriott Corporation in a variety of operational positions
• Joined ComDoc in 2000 as the Director of Facilities Management & Special Projects
• Named Logistics Director, Centralized Distribution Centers in 2001
• 2004 Founder’s Award Winner
• Oversaw the design, development and implementation of ComDoc’s new 57,000 square foot Akron Distribution Center
• Named Administrative & Logistics Operations Director in 2007

 

 

 

TED MADICK
Vice President - Support Services

• Born and raised in Akron, OH
• Prior to ComDoc, worked at Myers Industries for 6 years and Omnicor for 10 years
• Earned CSP in 1983
• Joined ComDoc in 1985 as Director of IT; has also supervised Purchasing & Distribution
• Became Vice President in 1995
• 1997 Founders Award Winner
• Serves on UA Executive Athletic Committee
• Actively involved with Real Life Group and H2H

 

 

 

JIM LINDESMITH
Director of IT

• Born and raised in Canton, OH
• Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineer, University of Dayton
• Began career with Monsanto Research in Miamisburg, OH, then spent nearly 20 years with the Timken Company
• Joined ComDoc in 2009
• Community service includes Elder North Canton Church of Christ, Board Member of the American Red Cross, and Director of Upwards Basketball program

 

 

 

PAT SUMMERS
Vice President

• Born and raised in Massillon, OH
• Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communications, Ohio University
• Joined ComDoc in 1989 as a Fax Representative in the Cleveland branch
• Promoted to SM in 1992, Cleveland Branch SM in 1997, Akron GM in 1999 and opened up the Columbus Market as the GM in 2001
• Named Vice President in 2010
• Community service includes Salvation Army of Central Ohio Volunteer and Westerville Youth Baseball Head Coach
• Served on the Board for Junior Achievement of Central Ohio

• Prior to ComDoc, spent 1 year with Goodyear Aerospace
• Joined ComDoc in 1988 as a Marketing Representative
• Promoted to SM in 1992, Youngstown Branch Manager in 1996, Akron Branch Manager in 2001 and Regional Manager of Akron & Youngstown in 2001
• Named Vice President in 2010
• Serves on the board for Lake Center Christian Athletic Advisory Board, Field Local Schools Advisory Board and Akron Executives Association board
